Brothers, Finnegan (1) and Logan (5) pose in their matching sweaters this past Saturday. It doesn't get much cuter than this!
Kicked off our shoes and ran around Langwood Farm today. This summer has been a blur, so it was really nice to get away for a bit to take pictures of my boys and truly marvel at their growth.
Hudson has really taken on the role of a big 4 1/2 year old. He amazes me with his independence and passion for working hard. Hayden is 2 going on 20. He has become so grown up that I find it hard to believe that he is only two. Hudson and Hayden are silly, smart and strong boys. They love to keep me on my toes, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I absolutely love senior portrait sessions. Why? Because I get to meet some very talented young adults of the Upper Valley. I get to know their interests, what they enjoy learning about at school, and what they want to do after graduation. I like to think of my sessions as a casual conversation between two people. In this way, I am able to capture those subtle moments that are truly telling of an individual.
Abbey is a very talented and hard-working student, who wants to study History in college. She is part of the Honors Society and an athlete. Abbey was a joy to work with and I love how she connected with the camera by smiles with her eyes. Very sophisticated Abbey, well done! -D Another wonderful family session at CREA this past Saturday. The Keen family brought along their dog Luna, who is a beautiful and energetic retriever puppy. She was able to be part of the session and even assisted me with taking a few photos. Luna is so loved by her family and makes the family portrait in front of the barn feel complete.
I simply adore these photos of Matt and Katy's family from their portrait session on Sunday. It was the most beautiful morning at CREA in Cornish, New Hampshire. Katy asked Mackenzie what sounds she could hear and Mackenzie replied "birds." Katy quietly asked, "what kind of bird?" and Mackenzie quickly replied, "Blue-jay." I knew after that moment that we picked the most perfect location for their photo shoot.
-D My favorite aspect of photography is being able to tell a story. When Meaghan told me she was pregnant and wanted me to do a maternity session with her, I was so excited to photograph such a special time in a family's life. Meaghan was glowing the entire time during her maternity session. When Logan decided to read his soon-to-be baby brother a story on the couch with mom, my heart melted. You could tell how proud Logan was to become a big brother and once Finnegan was born, you could definitely see that love as they cuddled in bed for mid-morning snuggles. I feel so lucky to be able to capture these sweet little moments that can be treasured forever.
I have created a special three-part photography package that includes maternity, newborn/family, and 1st birthday. Visit my Portrait Sessions page for more information. https://www.meadowphotography.com/portrait-sessions.html
